Giselle hails from the mystical land of Andalasia, where anything that is a fairy tale cliche is more or less present and tangible. She has the ability to communicate with any and all animals, including her chipmunk sidekick Pip. She also has immense skill with dress-making. Her dream is to marry Prince Edward, of whom she is certain is her one true love. Unfortunately, Edward's stepmother Queen Narissa has a massive issue with her son's choice in partner, as she must give up her title of ruler if he marries, and manages to banish Giselle to the real world, or more accurately, New York City.
